Becoming a customer

How can I become a customer?

You can do this very easily using our registration form. Simply enter your company name, address, contact details, Chamber of Commerce number, and VAT number to register. Based on your details, you will be provided with a login for our web shop. If you have any questions about registering as a customer, please email sales@elkapieterman.be or call one of our Customer Service representatives at +32 3 326 3240. They will be happy to help you.

Can I also become a customer as a private individual?

Elka Pieterman is a wholesaler that supplies exclusively to other businesses. If you are still interested in our products, please refer to our www.elkapieterman.be/customers or www.elka.nl/scanpart pages. Here you will find the various retailers and web shops that sell our Scanpart range and other accessories and parts.

As a customer, can I automatically log in to the webshop?

You need a valid login to access our web shop. You can request this using our registration form. Once you have received a login for the web shop, whether you can log in automatically depends on your own preferences and settings.

Does Elka Pieterman have an overview of its General Terms and Conditions or Terms of Delivery?

If you log in with your webshop login, you can download a PDF of our Terms of Delivery.

Who are Elka Pieterman’s customers?

Can I request documentation or additional information from you?

As a customer, you can find all the product data you need in our web shop. In addition to clearly displayed product features and
images, there are often additional downloads available for each product. These downloads include:

Yes, you certainly can. As a customer of Elka Pieterman, you will regularly receive our product emails with great promotions and cross-sell advice. Can I link my cash register to the Elka Information?

Elka Pieterman can link to various cash register systems. This allows Elka Pieterman to offer retailers the convenience of ordering products directly from the cash register or processing them in stock. Can I link my web shop to the Elka Information?

Elka Pieterman can be linked to your web shop using various techniques. We can provide information about stock and pricing. In some cases, it is also possible to offer additional content. Why should you definitely use the Elka Scanner?

Many Elka Pieterman customers use the Elka Scanner. Are you often on the road installing products and do you use products that you want to order from Elka Pieterman? Or do you have a Rack job solution with our products? The Elka Scanner is the ideal solution for quick ordering.

With this scanner, you can scan both the product barcode and the barcode on the hook or label. By scanning the products you need in the desired quantities, you automatically create an order list. You can then upload the scanner to the ELKA web shop to convert your order list into an order with Elka Pieterman.

If you place your order before 16:00, it will be shipped immediately and you will often receive your order the next working day. It's that easy!

How can I obtain an Elka Scanner?

Do you also offer training courses?

Yes, we do! We don't call ourselves specialists for nothing. Our training courses not only focus on optimizing accessory sales, but also delve deeper into different products and ranges. Does Elka Pieterman offer drop shipping?

Elka Pieterman does not offer drop shipping. However, we can deliver our goods to drop shipping partners, who can then arrange drop shipping for you. If you place your order before 16:00 you will receive your order the next working day. So, by applying the right delivery promise to your customer, drop shipping is sometimes not even necessary.

Does Elka Pieterman have its own brand?

Yes, it does! As the leading specialist in parts and accessories for household appliances, Elka Pieterman has developed the Scanpart brand.

What is the best way to search the product range?

There are several ways to search our web shop. You can select the different categories to find the product you want.

You can also search from our www.elkapieterman.be/brands., which shows all relevant items from or for that brand.

By far the easiest way is to use the search bar at the top of the web shop. When you enter a search term there, all the different options are displayed.

We often also show whether another variant is available for an item, or we advise you on products that are often ordered together. Our web shop helps you as a customer!

Ordering and delivery

What are the payment options?

The Elka Pieterman web shop offers the most common payment methods that you can use to complete your order. Depending on your customer profile, different payment methods may be available.

Members of purchasing organizations can also use the central payment system of the organization of which they are a member.

After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation by email. Your invoice will also be sent to the email address you provided.

What are the shipping costs?

In Belgium, we mainly work with Dachser and GLS. Depending on your order, a relevant carrier will be selected. If you place your order before 16:00, it will be shipped immediately.

Orders over €150 excluding VAT are shipped free of charge.

If you order less than €150 excluding VAT, you pay €7.95 in order and shipping costs.

Do you deliver directly from stock?

Elka Pieterman has more than 4,000 different items in stock. The current stock is always shown at the time of ordering. This way, you know immediately that what you order can also be delivered.

If stock is limited or an item needs to be ordered for you, you can still place your order. You can find the expected delivery time of your item in your account.

What is the delivery time for my order?

All orders placed on working days before 16:00 will be shipped immediately.
Orders placed Monday through Thursday before 16:00 will be delivered to you the next day.
Orders placed on Friday before 16:00 will be delivered on Monday.
Orders placed after 16:00 on Friday and during the weekend will be processed on Monday and delivered on Tuesday.

Which carrier does Elka Pieterman work with?

Elka Pieterman works with Dachser and GLS for shipments. The appropriate carrier is selected depending on the shipment. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation from us containing the Track and Trace code of the carrier that will deliver your order. You can also find this Track and Trace code in the web shop.

Can I trace my order?

Can I pick up my order?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to pick up your orders. Elka Pieterman's warehouse is located in the Netherlands, close to the Belgian border. I can no longer log in to the webshop?

It may happen that you forget your password or have not used your login for a long time. If an account is not used for more than 12 months, it will be set to inactive. If you would like to place an order with us again, please contact one of our colleagues. I forgot my password

You do not need a password for our webshop. Enter the email address we have on file for you and you will receive a login code via email. Are you still having trouble logging into our webshop? Do you work with Back orders?

Although we always show the current stock in the webshop, an item may sell out faster than expected. You can always see this on the packing slip with your order and in your account. If you need an item quickly, please contact our colleagues and they will look into the possibilities with you. My Elka Scanner is not working anymore, what should I do?

If you are experiencing problems with your scanner, it may be time to calibrate it. You can find the calibration form under the heading “Scanner” in the Elka webshop. By scanning the barcodes on the calibration form, your scanner will work as usual again.

If, after calibration, you are still unable to scan a number of barcodes, this may be due to the labels themselves. It is possible that they have shifted slightly, preventing the code from being fully visible. You will probably be able to scan the labels if you move them slightly. You can also test this by scanning the EAN of an Elka product.
The attached document contains a clear explanation of how to use the scanner. We have also made an instructional video that explains everything clearly.

How do I turn the sound on/off on my Elka scanner?

Press and hold the large button for 10 seconds to turn the scanner sound on or off. You will hear a beep to confirm.

The attached document contains a clear explanation of how to use the scanner. We have also made an instructional video that explains everything clearly.

Returns

What is Elka Pieterman’s return policy?

At Elka Pieterman, you can return your order or items under specific conditions.

For the full return policy, please refer to our delivery terms and return procedure, which can be found in your account under returns. Items that have been ordered especially for you cannot be returned or credited.
